Abstract:

Fruit juices, viz., fruit juice of bhir fruit, star fruit, butter fruit, pappaya, watermelon and seetha fruits have been investigated as inhibitors in the mineralization of urinary stone forming minerals, viz., calcium phosphate, oxalate and carbonate. Inhibition efficiency has been studied in different experimental model. The results are recorded in the table and a column chart also have been given to expose the inhibition efficiencies of the above said fruits. Utility of these fruits, in urolithiasis inhibition has been discussed.
